My Music Taste

I've spent countless hours trying to find why I like the music that I like. If you only have a hot sec, try Eric's 5.

It boils down to this

I like music with rich harmony and full production.

That means I like many different genres...

A lot of my library is r&b, most of it made by indie artists.

I enjoy the DIY sound of bedroom pop, though I also enjoy maximalist pop from the daw and rock.

Sometimes I'm in a bossa mood and I'm looking for a sidestick typa beat.

Of course, I also listen to the top 40 charts and electronic music.

As a music producer, I enjoy the style of HiFiLoFi.

And finally, there's video (game?) music, cool experiments, and media soundtrack.

When you're in the mood...

Songs that tell a story (lyrics not required).

Maybe you're feeling laidback or having a slow day.

Listen to some ephemeral soundscapes?

Music fit for a cafe.

Fast-tempo breakbeat.

Or listen to some old songs or classics.

I don't need to understand lyrics to enjoy a song,

so I enjoy music from all around the world.

Take a trip to japan or korea or latam?

(Work in progress: training my ear to listen to non-12tet music like gamelan?)

Some music theory elements

frequently occur in songs I love.

A playlist dedicated to my favorite chord, ivm?

Seen me on Twitter talking about subdominant 2-5-1?

And for special occasions...

Favorite songs from nintendy games.

new christmas canon, the best musical canon.
